Milton, ON – Attack Racing closed out the 2025 track season with an impressive showing at the U17/Jr National Track Cycling Championships, held April 4–6 at the Mattamy National Cycling Centre in Milton, Ontario. With a combination of grit, teamwork, and standout performances, the team proudly represented on the national stage.

- Harry Langford [U17 Men]
- Matt Hodgins [U17 Men]
- Tomas Liska-Gardiner [U17 Men]
- Ben Buczkowski [U17 Men]

Event Highlights:
- Izzy Downing was unstoppable in the U17 Women’s Points Race, launching a courageous 14-lap solo breakaway to take the national title. She followed it up with another gold medal in the Madison, partnering with KWCA’s Addison Marcynuk for a nail-biting finish that had the crowd on its feet. Izzy was also part of the Team Ontario squad that achieved gold in the Team Sprint competition and came in second in Team Pursuit.
- Tomas Liska-Gardiner raced with confidence and poise in the U17 Men’s Elimination Race, earning a hard-fought bronze medal. His consistency across the weekend added depth to the team’s presence in bunch races.
- Harry Langford achieved a personal best in the Individual Pursuit, capping off a strong track season with continued growth in the timed events. He also animated the Scratch and bunch races with aggressive tactics and smart positioning.
- Matt Hodgins earned respect from teammates and competitors alike for laying down the death pull in the Team Pursuit, and cracked the Top 10 in the Elimination Race — a personal best finish in a fast and tactical field.
- Ben Buczkowski exploded out of the gate in the Team Sprint, recording the fastest opening lap among U17s. He later teamed up with Ethan Lambourn in the U17 Men’s Madison, holding on through a brutally fast 50.7 kph race pace for a strong and gutsy finish.
- Ethan Lambourn demonstrated extraordinary resilience. After crashing in the Keirin final on Friday evening, Ethan was sidelined from the Scratch Race later that night, as well as the Points and Elimination races on Sunday. Despite this setback, he returned to competition to support the team in the Team Pursuit, Team Sprint, and Madison, helping his teammates deliver standout performances in all three races.

“This was a breakthrough weekend for our riders,” said Andrew Buczkowski, Program Director of Attack Racing. “To see athletes execute bold moves, hit new personal bests, and lift each other up on and off the boards — that’s what makes a championship memorable. We’re proud of what they accomplished and excited to see what’s next.”
Attack Racing thanks all the coaches, parents, mechanics, and supporters who helped make the weekend a success. The team now shifts its focus to road season, carrying forward the fitness, fire, and friendship forged over a winter on the boards.
