Attack Racing Shines at NCIM Santa Loves a Madison Race

London, ON – Attack Racing is proud to share the outstanding results from Saturday night’s NCIM Santa Loves a Madison race at the Mattamy National Cycling Centre in Milton, Ontario. Competing in a festive and competitive atmosphere, our athletes delivered stellar performances across all four events: the Scratch Race, Melting Snowball Race, Points Race, and Madison.

Representing Attack Racing were Ben Buczkowski, Harry Langford, and Tomas Liska Gardiner, who showcased their talent, teamwork, and determination in a packed field of top cyclists.

Event Highlights:

  • D Category:
    • Scratch Race: Ben Buczkowski delivered a commanding performance, securing first place with remarkable speed and precision.
    • Melting Snowball Race: Ben showed his versatility, claiming third place, while Harry Langford put up a strong effort in the field.
    • Points Race: Ben once again excelled, taking first place and cementing his dominance in the D Category.
  • B Category:
    • Melting Snowball Race: Tomas Liska Gardiner shone brightly, capturing first place with a tactical and decisive ride.
    • Points Race: Tomas demonstrated his endurance and strategic prowess, earning a well-deserved second place.
  • Madison: The highlight of the evening saw Tomas Liska Gardiner team up with rival Alex Gies in the B Category for a thrilling Madison, finishing second. Their seamless exchanges and electrifying strategy kept the crowd on the edge of their seats, marking an unforgettable conclusion to the night.

Furthermore, Coach Dee showcased her skills by competing in the women’s field, embodying the competitive and community spirit of Attack Racing.

In addition to the outstanding performances by our current athletes, Attack Racing celebrates the accomplishments of our alumni:

  • Brody Mann: Brody, now racing for Ignite Junior Development, is preparing for his first international track competition. He will represent Canada in January at the Apeldoorn velodrome in the Netherlands. This milestone reflects his dedication and the strong foundation built at Attack Racing.
  • Anika Brants: Anika has signed a professional contract with the prestigious American team Virginia’s Blue Ridge Twenty 24, marking an exciting step in her cycling career.

“The level of competition was incredible, and our riders delivered on every front,” said Marten Mann, coach at Attack Racing. “Tomas teaming up with Alex Gies for the Madison showed the true spirit of racing – working together to create an unforgettable performance.”

“Our athletes showed exceptional grit and determination tonight,” said Andrew Buczkowski, Program Director of Attack Racing. “Each rider brought their best to the track, and it’s exciting to see their hard work and preparation pay off in such a competitive setting. The Madison result, in particular, is a testament to their teamwork and resilience.”

The NCIM Santa Loves a Madison race was a festive celebration of cycling, featuring high-energy competition and holiday cheer. Attack Racing extends its gratitude to the National Cycling Institute Milton (NCIM) for organizing this fantastic event and providing a platform for athletes to showcase their skills.
