Training
Attack Racing offers training and race support for athletes interested in track cycling and racing. Riding single gear bikes, without the benefit of brakes, riders progress from basic track cycling skills and group riding sessions through to individual and bunch racing programs.
Forest City Velodrome
From late fall to early spring the team trains at the Forest City Velodrome in London, Ontario. Additional training sessions are also scheduled at the Mattamy National Cycling Centre in Milton, Ontario. Riders are also able to participate in race events at FCV and the Mattamy National Cycling Centre. Team projects to velodrome locations in Michigan and Pennsylvania may also be considered based on race scheduling.
Riders graduating from the FCV’s VeloKids program, or riders with some track riding experience, advance to youth development training, offering the skills and training required to compete in the Ontario Youth Cup Series. As riders develop, they move to the performance training level which will prepare them for the Ontario Cup Series, the Ontario Provincial Track Championships, and the Canadian Track Cycling Championships.
